Undergraduate Degrees
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Research College of Nursing prepares a professional nurse; who can practice as a generalist in health promotion and with clients experiencing alterations in health in a variety of health care settings, with a commitment to learning as a lifelong endeavor and with the foundation necessary for graduate education and who is an active citizen in the community and assumes responsibility for improving the health care of society.
The BSN program offers two undergraduate options a Traditional BSN Option for the student without a college degree and an Accelerated BSN Option for the student with a previous non-nursing college degree. Admission requirements, application process, tuition/fees, financial aid and typical curriculum are specific to the option.
Research College of Nursing enjoys a wide variety of other community relationships providing student and faculty with clinical opportunity for scholarship, leadership and service. Seventy of these relationships are formalized with contracts. The relationships include: KU Medical Center, Truman Medical Center, Children's Mercy Hospital, Olathe Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center and other HCA facilities to name a few.
